AFC Fylde will welcome Tranmere Rovers to Mill Farm for a pre-season friendly on Saturday 27th July, 3pm kick-off.

Rovers are set to provide another test for Chris Beech’s Coasters ahead of the upcoming Vanarama National League campaign.

Managed by their former goalkeeper Nigel Adkins, Tranmere finished 16th in Sky Bet League Two last term after he was appointed as permanent manager in November 2023.

Adkins, who has previously managed in the Premier League, was able to steer Rovers up the league table having replaced Ian Dawes in the dugout, and now brings his team to the Fylde Coast.

The Prenton Park outfit are the third EFL club to be visiting Mill Farm in July, with games against Blackpool and Wigan Athletic also scheduled.

Fylde last met Tranmere on New Year’s Day 2018, delivering a five-star performance in an emphatic 5-2 victory over the Wirral side at Mill Farm.

More information regarding ticket details and hospitality packages will be announced in due course.
