AFC Fylde went four points clear at the top of the Vanarama Conference North on Tuesday following a 3-0 win over Tamworth, but how did other sides fare in midweek?
Chorley will be disappointed not to have beaten bottom side Hyde as the two drew 3-3 at Ewen Fields on Monday night. A hat-trick from striker Darren Stephenson wasn’t quite enough for the Magpies who were denied all three points by a Connor Hughes penalty in the 90th minute.
Harrogate Town and Gainsborough Trinity played out a 0-0 draw at Wetherby Road. The result does neither side much good with Harrogate sitting 17th whilst Gainsborough are 13th, two points ahead of their Yorkshire opponents.
Colwyn Bay claimed an impressive 2-0 win at Hednesford Town thanks to goals from Hopley and Anorou. Colwyn are now up to tenth place whilst Hednesford are still yet to find the form that got them so close to promotion last season as they sit 12th.
Brackley Town distanced themselves from the relegation places with a hard fought 1-0 win at Lowestoft Town thanks to a goal from Shaun Jeffers. The win moves Brackley up to 15th but Lowestoft are now in 16th following a recent run of poor form.
North Ferriby bounced back from their defeat at Kellamergh Park on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Leamington. Goals from St Juste and King put Ferriby in control before Steffan Moore pulled a goal back for the visitors. Nathan Jarman sealed victory for the Hull-based side on 33 minutes to take them up to seventh in the table. Leamington are now 11th.
A brace from Adil Yussuf gave improving Oxford City a 2-1 victory over Stockport County at Marston Road. The result now leaves Oxford in third place for the time being whilst Stockport move down one place to sixth.
And Finally Stalybridge Celtic were no match for an impressive Guiseley at Bower Fold. The West Yorkshire side came out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Boshell,Lawlor and Boyes. The result moves Guiseley above Stockport into fifth place whilst Stalybridge sit uncomfortably in 18th.
