AFC Fylde can confirm that midfielder Will Hatfield has left the Club to join National League North side Darlington FC.
Will, who joined the Coasters in March 2022 for an undisclosed fee, went on to make 39 appearances over a one-and-a-half-year spell at Mill Farm, scoring two goals along the way, one of which was the winner on his full debut against Spennymoor Town.
A key figure in the Coasters’ National League North title win, Will played a strong role in helping Adam Murray’s side achieve promotion to the National League last term.
On his departure, Director of Football Chris Beech said: “Will has been a great servant to the football club and always gave his all when stepping over that white line.
“At 32 years of age, Will has a desire to start every game, and with no guarantee of game time, and an opportunity to re-join Darlington, the deal suited both parties.
“After playing a significant role in last season’s title win, Will leaves with nothing but our best wishes for the future.”
AFC Fylde would like to place on record its thanks to Will for his efforts at Mill Farm and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
