AFC Fylde’s youth squad are in action this evening when they welcome Irlam to Kellamergh Park in a massive game for the lads.
Stewart Clitheroe’s side are just 90 minutes away from a place in the First Round Proper of the FA Youth Cup thanks to two fantastic 5-3 victories over Witton Albion and Brighouse Town’s U18’s respectively.
But Irlam will come with nothing to lose after knocking out Chester’s Academy by the same score line to set up tonight’s Third Qualifying Round encounter.
Another home tie is the reward for The Coasters if they can get past Irlam. It would be their fourth home match of the tournament if they do so and will come up against the winners of Newcastle Benfield or Southport.
The match kicks off at 7:30pm and it’s just £2 entry for adults and £1 for concessions. There have been over 100 supporters watching the lads in both of the last two rounds so it would be great to see another decent crowd there tonight to cheer on the youngsters.
