AFC Fylde Under 18’s blew Lancaster City away last night in The FA Youth Cup, recording a resounding 9-2 win at Kellamergh Park.

 

Goals from Leon Wright (x3), Lynch (x2), Parker, Sutton, Hollywood and Brown were too much for The Blues.

With the score 4-0 at half-time, most of the hard work had been done by the Coasters, and when Wright made it 5-0 after the interval, it seemed to be all wrapped up.

Two quick goals for Lancaster bought the game back to life however, reducing the deficit to just three goals.

This was short lived though, and the Coasters went on to net another four, and book their place in the next round.

Starting XI: Wilcock, Shorrock, Roberts, Parker, Stanley (c), Aiton, Lynch, Grindrod, Hollywood, Brown, Wright.

Subs: McCarthy, Boult, Sutton, Poole, Gregson, Moran.

The Third Round Qualifying is scheduled for the week of Monday 14th October – which will be the last tie before the First Round Proper.
